A few easy (and QUICK) ways to go green during the holidays:
While you can’t wrap energy up in a bow, you can use LED lights for decorating (especially if you’re like me and still haven’t decorated).
There is some beautiful gift wrap made from recycled materials. This year all of my wrapping paper is made from recycled paper. I also tend to wrap small gifts in a coordinating scrap fabric with pretty ribbon.
Our kids will not be getting any gifts (from us) that require batteries. The reason is really twofold: A – they don’t need all that extra stimulation, and B – some batteries can be harmful to the environment. (Use rechargeables, please.)
