Baby Food 101: Applesauce

We have noticed our little one prefers the sweeter foods as we introduce her to solids.  I decided baby applesauce would be great for the sweet tooth (and our #2 issue).  Granny Smith apples are my usual pick for big kids and grownups, but this little sweetheart surely would not have gone for that.  I had a bag of organic Fuji apples in the fridge and thought that these sweet fruits would be perfect … And it was!

Sweet Baby Applesauce

Cut up and steam 2-4 Fuji apples (organic).  Place steamed apples in food processor with a few tbsp of reserved water from steam pot.  Process until fairly smooth.  (Add a dash of cinnamon if desired.)

I froze half for later in perfect portions.
