Cheap & Organic? Not impossible!

Since I quit working, saving money has gone WAY up on the priority list.  Sometimes it seems impossible to save money and buy organic in a metropolitan city.  Lucky for us, there is a fabulous farmers market about 7 miles from home.  I can buy organic fruits, veggies, meats, dairy, everything!  The best part?  I buy almost everything on the food list there (again, all organic) and still spend about 30% less than the grocery store!  Another bonus?  They have recycle and composting centers.

We currently reside in a cluster-home community with little/no yard space.  We are planning a big move soon and have only looked at homes on 1+ acre lots.  I am SO excited about trying to get a garden going!  When I do, I think I will get some of these lovely markers …

I am already planning my garden and I haven’t even found the house yet!  Silly, I know, but I daydream about growing my own organic veggies and composting.  And, since Baby loves avocado and I have developed a food-crush on Hubby’s guacamole, I want to plant some avocado trees too.  (Avocados do grow on trees right?)

When it come time to finally begin the garden, I will need some tips and pointers – I can barely keep bamboo alive in my house, so a real garden will be quite a challenge!
